Our tour begins in the late afternoon/early evening light. We'll ascend to the charming, medieval Le Suquet district, the historic heart of Cannes. Wander through its steep, cobbled alleys, past candy-coloured cottages, and soak up the atmosphere that has charmed visitors for centuries. From the vantage point near the Gothic-style Notre-Dame d'Espérance church, we’ll talk history and local life as we stroll past indie stores and bistros.
Next, we'll wind our way back down the hill for our first taste of Riviera evening life: a classic French apéritif. We'll settle into a stylish, tapas-style wine bar to enjoy a glass of local wine or a refreshing drink, perfectly setting the mood for the evening.
Our stroll continues past the iconic Palais des Festivals, home to the legendary Cannes Film Festival. Feel the glamour and history of this famous landmark before we head to the waterfront for a leisurely walk along the palm-lined La Croisette.
Sunset Magic on La Croisette:
As we walk the promenade, you will witness the spectacular moment the sun dips below the horizon, ushering in the magical evening light. This is where you'll see breathtaking panoramic views over the Bay of Cannes and the glittering yachts in the Vieux Port, now bathed in the glorious Autumn afterglow.
On the Croisette, you'll also have the option to make a stop for a delicious, authentic Riviera ice cream (a perfect evening treat!).
Finally, we'll delve into the vibrant area around Rue Hoche, the bustling, chic heart of modern Cannes. Our evening culminates in a cozy, intimate setting where you’ll enjoy a delicious light supper featuring a carefully selected local cheese and charcuterie platter, perfectly paired with another glass of wine or your drink of choice.
